A Great Start to the Belgium Beer Garden @ PAC
The Belgium Beer Garden @ PAC has officially kicked off its third edition, and what a weekend it was! From September 4–6, PAC’s outdoor plaza in the heart of Jing’an was transformed into a lively European-style beer garden, welcoming a fantastic crowd of visitors from Shanghai and around the world.
The event is co-organized by PAC and Lolypop Events, an annual sponsor of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, bringing together Belgian beer, food, music, and entertainment for two weekends of celebration in the heart of the city.
The first day was officially opened with welcoming speeches by Victor Stephany, Consul for Economic Affairs at the Consulate General of Belgium in Shanghai; Ng Chern Shiong, Executive Vice President of PAC; and Jonathan Xu, General Manager at the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. Their opening remarks signaled the start of a memorable weekend celebrating Belgian culture, beer, food, and the international community that makes Shanghai so vibrant.
Throughout the weekend, the Belgium Beer Garden was filled with people enjoying an impressive selection of more than 80 Belgian beers, including well-known favorites such as Kasteel, Duvel, Vedett, Chimay, Delirium, Westmalle, Lindemans, and Stella Artois, as well as newcomers including Broeder Jacob, Fruli, Boon, and Carolus.
Visitors also enjoyed a wide range of Belgian and European comfort food, from crispy fries and waffles to mussels, juicy burgers, and other festival favorites.
With international DJs creating a lively atmosphere throughout the weekend, visitors enjoyed Belgian beer, food, and the relaxed European-style setting. People from countries all over the world came together at PAC, making the first weekend a great success, but the celebrations are not over yet!
For those who missed the first weekend, there is no need to worry: the Belgium Beer Garden returns this coming weekend, September 11–13.
